The stones at the base of the pagoda symbolize the island of Hokkaido. One of the stones is red stone symbolize Sapporo as the capital.  Japanese Garden, Portland Oregon

2DPhotography > Second visit to Multnomah Falls, the first was so full of water and mist that we walked away with no photos to keep our cameras dry.  This 2nd attempt was difficult to walk because the trail was ice.  Going to the bridge was easy because you could hang on to the metal chain.  After the bridge it was more difficult on the steep slope.  We got most of the way up and decided it was time to head back before dark.
