2DPhotography > 06/16/09 - Went for a walk to try and find a daily photo but didn't find much until I came home. (Funny how that happens.) Roses growing along my next door neighbor's split rail fence. -Deb
2DPhotography > 6/15/09: Arcadia Beach Sunset. It looked like it might be a great sunset so Dennis and I drove out to the coast for dinner and to take photos as the sun was setting. Although this wasn't a jaw-dropping sunset, I wasn't too disappointed with the soft pinks and blues and the reflections in the sand. Thanks for looking -Deb
2DPhotography > 06-14-09: Taken yesterday during my visit to the Portland Rose Garden. The sign tells all. -Deb
2DPhotography > 06-13-09 - Portland is known as the City of Roses. Today's photo was taken at the Portland Rose Garden. It seemed silly turning on the flash in the middle of the day but fill flash was needed here against the bright sky to bring out the flowers. -Deb Some more roses from the garden are posted at Dennis' gallery, here.
2DPhotography > 06-12-09 - Sword Fern Fiddlehead. It's fun to find spirals in nature. This is one of those situations where I wanted a photo for the day and once I got this on my monitor I thought it was worthy of a post. -Deb
2DPhotography > 06-10-09: Columbine in the afternoon sun -Deb
2DPhotography > 06-09-09: Beauty and the Beast. After this shot I was careful where I put my nose. -Deb
2DPhotography > 06-08-09 Goat's Beard - I got out the macro lens, set up the tripod, and spent considerable time trying to focus on the tiny orbs on this goat's beard flower. I was actually amazed that I spotted them as I hiked along the Wahkeena Falls trail. They look like little crystal balls. It wasn't raining but there was a mist in the air. The DOF was small partly due to a slight breeze so I traded off for shutter speed. Thank you for the comments on my other Columbia Gorge photos, I have to agree it really is a pretty place. -Deb
